Fukushima Guide - Tsuruga Castle (Tsuruga-jo) in Fukushima in Japan

 
Tsuruga Castle, also known as Aizuwakamatsu Castle is a Japanese traditional castle at the center of the city of Aizuwakamatsu in Fukushima Prefecture in Japan.

 
It is possible to climb the top of Tsuruga Castle.

 
Combination of  Tsuruga Castle and cherry blossoms are very beautiful.

Kamakura Guide - Ofuna Kannon in Kamakura, Kanagawa, Japan

 
 
Ofuna Kannon, Ofuna-Kannon-ji is a Buddhist temple in Kamakura, Kanagawa, Japan.
 
 
 
 
Ofuna Kannon has a 25 meter tall concrete statue of Kan'non.

 
 
The statue has been constructed entirely by hand.

 
The statue itself has a small museum and shrine.

Kyoto Guide - Byodo-In Temple in Kyoto in Japan

 
 
Byodo - In Temple is located in the city of Uji, Kyoto.
 
It has a typical Jodo-Shiki teien (Pure Land garden).

 

 
 
Byodo-In Temple is one of World Cultural Heritage sites in Kyoto.

 
 
Byodo-In Temple consists of Amida-do hall and a pond.


Amida-do represents Pure Land or the western paradise.


An islet and a couple of bridges.

The back of Ho o-do is likened to the trail of the phoenix.

Matsumoto Castle ("Matsumoto-jo") is also known as "Crow Castle" because of its elegant black walls.

The keep (tenshukaku) of Matsumoto Castle maintains its original wooden interiors and external stonework.


Matsumoto Castle is listed as a National Treasure of Japan.

Nara Guide - Todaiji - "Great Eastern Temple" in Nara in Japan

 
 
Todaiji is one of Japan's most famous Buddhist temples.
 
This temple is located at Nara.


 
Big Buddha Hall "Daibutsuden" is the largest wooden building in the world.





The bronze statue of Buddha is 15meters tall.

Several smaller Buddist statues are displayed on the wall.


You will encounter some deer at the Nara Park.

They beg for special crackers for them "shika senbei".

Mount Fuji - FUJIYAMA


Mount Fuji "Fujiyama" is the highest and the most beautiful mountain in Japan.

All of the Japanese love it since early times.

Mount Fuji has been selected as a cultural heritage site this year.




Then, more foreigners have been visiting Mount Fuji to climb.

The montain is too crowded to go fast.
